The Mini 7s took place in Kilmaine GAA grounds. All of fifth and sixth class students from different schools in the area were there such as The Neale, Cong, Ballinrobe, Kilmaine, Shrule, Roundfort and Robeen all participated.
First, we were up against Robeen. They got the first point, but we caught up fast. It was like playing ping-pong for a while, going back and forth! But it was Robeen who got the last goal. We were pretty disappointed but we could not sulk, as we were up next to play again!
In the semi-finals, we were playing against Roundfort. We were winning at the start, but… we kind of underestimated them! They ended up winning the match, but it wasn’t all bad! We got to go to Mellottes and then walked back to school.
It was a good day and I can’t wait for next year!
