On Friday morning, the 5th and 6th class boys and girls headed off on a bus to Kilmaine with Mr Mulligan, Mrs Burke and Mr Bourke for the first round of the Mini 7s competition. We had arrived a little late but we were excited and ready to kick into it! Our first game was against St Joseph’s Primary School in Ballinrobe.
In the first half, we were losing by a few points. It was a tight game in the end but unfortunately we lost. After the first game, we took a team photo and then got ready to warm up for our next game. After a short water break, it was time for our second match. We were up against a tough Kilmaine side. It was a close game until the end when they had a lot of possession. When they scored the goal, it was all over.
There was a little delay leaving the Kilmaine GAA grounds as our bus had been blocked in! However before we went back to school, we got to go to Mellottes shop!! It was still a good day out!
